THANKS TO TEAM-MATES

Burnley defender Kieran Trippier has thanked the impact of his teammates this season, which have helped him to be nominated for the PFA team of the year. According to the 24-year-old, his performances have not been at best this season. However, he has been able to get into the PFA team of the year due to the brilliant performance of his teammates. He is also the club’s current player of the year, which is an award he is likely to retain at the end of the season awards. The club are not expected to finish in the play-off position this season.

There were relegated from the Premier league a few years ago and it may take a while before they return to the top division of English football. However, the presence of players like Trippier makes it easy for Burnley to aim for a play-off spot. The club has had a strong when the season and are currently in the mid-table positions. Trippier has featured in almost every game for Burnley this season, and he has missed only one league match throughout the campaign. Even though he has not scored in the goals this season, the 24-year-old has been one of the star performers for the team.

“It’s fantastic. I don’t feel I’ve been on top form throughout the season, and I certainly feel my best is yet to come. But being nominated is only possible because of the way the team has played. Everyone knows I like to get forward as much as possible, but you need to have confidence in the players around you to do that, and we have a great bunch of lads here at Burnley. It’s largely because of them that I’m here and I’m absolutely delighted,” said Trippier after being nominated for the PFA team of the year.
