TRIPPIER WANTS TOP 6 FINISH

Kieran Trippier has said that he is looking for a top six finish from Burnley this season. The Manchester City player arrived on a loan deal from Eastlands and he has been impressive for the relegated club so far in the campaign. Burnley are hoping to get back into the Premier League at the first attempt and it seems that the arrival of Kieran Trippier has ensured that they remain in contention for doing so. The club have moved into the 11 the position of the table just a few points of the play-offs position, and the on loan Manchester City midfielder Kieran Trippier says that the club should exactly be targeting to finish within these positions.

It seems that Southampton and West Ham United are running away with the title at the top of the table, but the challenge just below them seems to be getting hot, as the season progresses. A number of teams have risen to the challenge of being able to challenge for the play-offs positions and Burnley are one among them. Kieran Trippier has said that the club are hoping for a win against Portsmouth during the weekend, which will bring them much needed confidence that they can indeed finish within the top six.

“We stayed together and believed in our performances and each other. I don’t think we played badly in the run of defeats, we gave goals away and didn’t deserve it. That’s gone now though, and we’re looking forward now. We’re flying at the moment, we needed that after a bad run, and it’s pushed us up the table,” Kieran Trippier said when asked about Burnley’s chances of finishing in the play-off position. Kieran Trippier has said that he is also enjoying his time at Turf Moor extremely well.
